Welcome to Holey Trails Getaway Farm!

Discover your free state at the Holey Trails Farm, where tranquillity and adventure await. Whether you're biking on our scenic trails, immersing yourself in a good book, or simply soaking in the serenity,  you'll find your calm here.

Location: Nestled in the Witteberge between Bethlehem and Fouriesburg in the Slabberts area of the Free State, with stunning views overlooking the mountains. Accessible via a dirt road where a raised chassis vehicle is preferable, ideally suited to 4x4 vehicles when it’s wet.

Accommodation:

  • 6 cozy chalets, each with ensuite bathrooms, accommodating between 2 to 4 guests, the chalets sleeps up to 18 collectively.
    2 x 2-sleeper chalets
    2 x 3-sleeper chalets
    2 x 4-sleeper chalets with bunk beds
  • Additionally, 2 bunkrooms are available, each sleeping 6 on triple bunks, with a separate ablution block with showers. The bunk rooms can sleep a total of 12.

Facilities:

  • Boma for food preparation, featuring an open-plan lounge, a welcoming fireplace for winter nights, a bar area, and a spacious covered patio offering panoramic mountain views.
  • Gas stove, gas braai, wood braai and firepit for cooking and outdoor gatherings.
  • Off-grid power (a generator supplies electricity) and gas appliances for food prep including a gas fridge.
  • Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, kettle, toaster, ice machine, and all necessary utensils.
  • Daily cleaning services available, covering dishes and general tidying in communal areas.
  • An onsite caretaker to run the generator and available to offer assistance if necessary

Linen: Bed linen and towels provided for your comfort.

Trails and Activities: Explore our mountain bike trails suitable for various skill levels, perfect for hiking, trail running, and the wooden deck is perfect for yoga sessions. Immerse yourself in the natural ambiance of the ou-hout forest, marvel at the potholes, and spot the diverse bird and animal life. Nearby attractions include Clarens, Fouriesburg, Rosendal, and the Lesotho border for ski adventures and festivals.

Disconnect from the digital world with no Wi-Fi, limited cell reception, and no TV, offering an electronic detox and a chance to reconnect with nature and yourself.
