Whale watching from June to December; best place to spot them on Clarence Drive, the costal road from Gordon's Bay to Rooi Els. Long stretches of white, sandy beaches and warmer water. Gordon's Bay Harbour. Prime holiday destination for water-sports enthusiasts - surfing, sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing, kite-surfing. Herlderberg Nature Reserve for walks, 169 species of birds recorded, mountain fynbos can be observed. Famous crafts markets close by. Abseiling at Steenbras River Gorge. Vintage train rides.
