What an absolutely awesome weekend with our extended family spent at High Thorn Farm. The cottage was clean and neat as a pin, and the 6 bedroom layout was perfect for our tribe. It had all the essentials and more to make anyone feel right at home - perfect for a large group. The beautiful garden and lawn was perfectly manicured with ample space for volleyball and much more. We loved the bonfire, braaiing, and hiking but was too cold for the sauna :(

Ah wow - there were 11 of us and everyone was comfortably accommodated and warm! We had everything we needed and more! The home is spotlessly clean and well appointed and a gorgeous real old fashioned style farmhouse (my sister and I are farmer children and it just brought back so many special memories for us!) The beds were super comfy and warm, the lounge was so cozy and accommodated all of us, with stacks of firewood and a brilliant fireplace! The bathrooms were fine and there was loads of hot water. Dining-room was great for our birthday function. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to easily prepare every meal we had planned. There was more than enough fridge space – which made keeping food and drinks cold so easy! The outside games were fun, the indoor board games were plentiful (we were so busy having fun we did not play any!) The sauna was an added bonus. Great walks all around, fishing was available – but the fish elusive ! The maid was incredible - she was pleasant, worked hard and always had a happy face and smile. What a bonus! All 11 of us loved the place and will be back. Thank you!

For the past 10 years, we've been visiting High Thorn annually, and every time we feel as if we've arrived home. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Each morning allows an awesome view of the beautiful and tranquil surroundings and we enjoy being able to just sit and breathe in the fresh mountain air, while our small children play safely in-and outside.

I would like to thank you for letting my family make use of your Highthorn Farm. We had a fantastic weekend. It was so relaxed, and we loved the idea of having somebody wash the dishes for us. All my sisters were amazed at how huge the house was, and that the rooms were beautifully made up and clean. Oh and the ready made fire when we walked in. As for the rondavel. It was so warm and inviting. We loved the chocolate and coffee that we could enjoy when we walked in on the Friday. My Husband, brother and brother-in-laws wanted to go 4X4ing, so they took a chance, and got stuck. But they also had a lot of fun digging the Discovery out of the mud. I will definitely recommend your Farm to my friends and other family.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed staying at Highthorn Farm. Set overlooking the Giants Castle Valley, and all pleasantly surprised by the typical Farmhouse layout indoors, definitely providing enough space for everyone. We enjoyed sitting around the big out doors bonfire outside, and had a continuous firewood supply that Junior willingly supplied us with on request. Zama was kind enough to keep a neat kitchen ever day. The kids loved the fact that there was full DSTV available and the adults really enjoyed the , and we were very disappointed when our holiday came to an end. Will definitely revisit.
