Tom Jenkins Challenge
The Tom Jenkins Challenge is an annual event which is held in Gauteng at the Union Buildings. The race will take place on the 24th November 2012.
The race offers participants three distances to chose from, 21.1km half marathon, a 10km and a 5km fun run. The whole family is invited to join in the fun and activities of the day. The fun run is open to all ages including mom's with their prams. Walkers are welcome.
The start of the race takes runners up the well known 800m hill which is quite a challenge to start with. Both races offer beautiful scenic views to all runners, through the suburbs of Arcadia and ends again at the Union Buildings.
Medals will be awarded to all race finishers and prizes will go to the category winners. There will be lucky draws as well.
The race starts promptly at 6:30am. Pre-entries can be done on www.enteronline.co.za and close on the 23rd November 2012. Entries will also be open from 5am on the race day. Be sure to mark this date on your calendar, you won't be disappointed.
