Back by huge popular demand, an unmissable magical event!

Celebrate this festive season with Santa and your favourite Fairy Tale friends in this magical garden as Emperors Palace is again bathed in a magical sea of light during this festive season when the spectacular Garden of Lights displays are activated for the fifth year running, from 02 December 2011 - 02 January 2012, between 19h00 and 22h00 daily (weather permitting). This spectacular event takes place at the Garden of Vespasian at the magnificent Doreale Grande hotel, which gets transformed into a delightful wonderland filled with astounding Christmas light displays, characters and surprises. Have your photo taken in front of the tallest Christmas tree, with Cinderella or Captain Hook.

Entry to the Garden of Lights is free for all. This phenomenon is a visual spectacle in which Santa and his friends can be found with surprises for everyone. Visit Santa and his Elf at the Candy Cane Christmas Tree, Wednesdays to Sundays, where the little ones can give him their wish list or take a photo with Father Christmas and his Elf. For a little break in between the fun, go down to Santas workshops to indulge in one of the many lights refreshments or heavenly treats that Santas helpers have to offer hungry tummies.

The Garden of Lights is the perfect start to the merriment and cheer of Christmas and fills the air with the delightful laughter of young and old alike every festive season. Quite simply put, it is the perfect way to get into the spirit of Christmas!

Directions from Johannesburg
Take the R24 towards the O.R. Tambo International Airport. At the airport, the road splits - keep to the left lane and follow the R21 East Rand/Boksburg lane. Follow the road until you reach Griffiths Road off-ramp, turn left at the top of the bridge. At the T-junction, turn left into Jones Road. Entrance to Emperors Palace is on your left.

Take the R21 towards the O.R. Tambo International Airport. At the airport, the road splits - keep to the left lane and follow the R21 East Rand/Boksburg lane. Follow the road until you reach Griffiths Road off-ramp, turn left at the top of the bridge. At the T-junction, turn left into Jones Road. Entrance to Emperors Palace is on your left.

Directions from Sandton / Northern Areas
Take the N3 towards Germiston. At Giloolly's interchange, take the R24 towards the O.R. Tambo International Airport. At the airport, the road splits - keep to the left lane and follow the R21 East Rand/Boksburg lane. Follow the road until you reach Griffiths Road off-ramp, turn left at the top of the bridge. At the T-junction, turn left into Jones Road. Entrance to Emperors Palace is on your left.
