McCarthy Toyota Paarlberg Half Marathon
The McCarthy Toyota Paarlberg Half Marathon is an annual event which takes place in the Western Cape, South Africa. The marathon is organised by the Paarl Athletic Club and is well supported by locals and visitors from all around the country.
The whole family is welcome to join in the festivities of the day. There are three race distances of different difficulty ratings. There will be a 21.1km, 10km and a 5km route. The routes are circular and begin at McCarthy Toyota behind the Paarl Mall at 7am. Entries will be taken at the start from 5:30am. Walkers are welcome to enter.
All three routes offer their own challenges. The first 8kms are run through Paarl and some of the route is run on gravel. There will be some steep climbs and a long downhill. The views along the way are spectacular and the route through the vineyards are rewarding with mountain views.
