Imagine a day set aside to showcase leading local music acts in one of the most beautiful outdoor setting in the Cape, Val de Vie Wine Estate in Paarl. Well you don't have to imagine it, you can be part of it! Each year K-Day is completely sold out as South Africans and visitors alike gather in their multitudes to enjoy a picnic in the sunshine at a safe and secure outdoor venue while being entertained by live quality South African music. 94.5 Kfm, a local radio station, who are Proudly South African and proud of SA Music as well as Santam, are the sponsors of this event. The 2012 line-up includes Prime Circle, Locnville, Good Luck, Elvis Blue, The Arrows, Flash Republic, Danny K and much more and is set to be an amazing day.

The sponsors have stated that they will be doing things differently at K-Day 2012. In fact, they will be taking an entirely new approach to the event; shaking things up to give visitors an experience they will never forget. Their plan is also to help those less fortunate get just what they need. In line with Earth Hour on 31 March, and World Water Day on 22 March, they will be sharing an initiative in the lead-up to and at K-Day that will allow both visitors and Santam, as a team, to provide clean drinking water to those without it.

So book early and join the fun at Val de Vie on 31 March 2012 to experience a day of JUST WHAT YOU NEED. Bring your families and friends and get out into the sunshine and celebrate everything an awesome Cape summer has to offer - great weather, a stunning outdoor setting and of course - the best local music on offer. Bring a picnic, loads of sunscreen and set up to enjoy all your favourite 94.5 Kfm hits live. Remember that the first 500 tickets sold out in 12 minutes, and 1000 tickets have already been sold for the 2012 K-Day, so it is obvious that the event is once again set to be one of the most popular music events of the year.

There will be a childrens play area as well as a hospitality area with various food and drink vendors, and a beer tent. Ample secure parking is available for free on the estate. Please note that no alcohol, glass bottles, braais or barbecues or open flames will be allowed into the venue.

Tickets for K-Day 2012 are R160 for adults and R80 for children and are available through computicket.
