Season of Sauvignon

The Seasons of Sauvignon is an annual event held in the Durbanville Wine Valley in the Western Cape. The festival celebrates white wines and attracts many visitors from all around the country. The whole family is welcome and the festival offers lots to see and do from great food, fine wines, live music and good company, to mention only a few of the weekends festivities.
The picturesque Durbanville Hills along with Nitida, Meerendal, Hillcrest, Klein Roosboom, Groot Phesantekraal, Diemerdal, De Vallei, De Grendel, D'Aria, Bloemendal and Altydgedacht will be participating in the fun filled event.
Season of Sauvignon offers its visitors an exciting and thrilling adventure. The Wine Ferry is one of the popular and unique ways to explore the winelands. The helicopters take to the air on the 1st October 2011 and stop over at the wine farms, allowing you to enjoy all the wine tasting opportunities on offer at each estate. The Altydgedacht Estate offers its visitors a relaxing picnic under the trees while listening to some light jazz. This historic estate also offers a tour through the vineyards and the 300 year old cellar. The children can be dropped off at the supervised play area while you enjoy a much deserved foot or neck massage with local grape oil products.

The Bloemendal Wine Estate in the Durban ville Wine Valley during the Season of Sauvignon will be offering visitors the chance to enjoy a music festival of country, rock, comedy and a variety of other artists. Both days will be filled with entertainment for the whole family, great food, fine wines and a vibrant atmosphere.

D'Aria Winery will celebrate in style during the Season of Sauvignon with a Food of the World Market. The whole family will enjoy both days which are fun filled with face painting, jumping castles, pony rides and much much more. Adults can enjoy wine tasting, live music and delicious foods to mention only a few.

Season of Sauvignon at De Grendel boasts a superb line-up helicopter rides, 4x4 drives, outstanding foods and workshops for all its visitors.
