With two venues at the Civic Centre in Florida Park - Roodepoort, Promusica is a community theatre where professional and amateur drama, dance, choirs, singers and actors from Gauteng can stage world class performances in a state-of-the-art environment. The theatre offers something for all age groups and every performance is loaded with talent and unsurpassable musical excellence. Some of the past performances in the theatre include, Disney's Mulan Jr., Coming Home, Harmonic Brass Munich, Ravishing, Riveting Rhapsodies, Sisters of Rockville, Why't Burp and many more. The two venues are The Main Auditorium and The Basement Theatre. The Main Auditorium seats 317 with an additional 4 places for wheelchairs in air-conditioned comfort. The Basement Theatre is a beautiful mosaic styled theatre which seats 70 to 80 people and has stunning bar facilities. One of the important roles that the Promusica Theatre plays in the community is that of social upliftment. The theatre has various programs in place to develop performing arts in all areas of the community including The Early Childhood Development Programme, The Street Children Programme and The Prisoner Programme.

Directions
From the N 1 South (30kms) or North (25kms):
Take the 14th Avenue off ramp and turn right (from Northern direction) or left (from Southern direction) at the traffic lights into 14th Avenue.
Continue with 14th Avenue, which becomes William Nicol Street, past the Checkers Hyper and the Flora Clinic, uphill towards Ontdekkers.
At the set of traffic lights turn right into Ontdekkers and continue across Golf Club Terrace Road, past Shell Garage until Florida Junction Centre appears on the left.
Turn left into Christiaan de Wet Road at the set of traffic lights.
Continue for approximately 900 meters past lawns on the right until a large grey building is seen on the right on the hill, which is the Joburg Region 5 and Promusica Theatre premises.
Turn right into parking area, keep left and drive to the back of the building where you will find the foyer of the Promusica Theatre.
