Tucked away on the slopes of the Heldeberg mountains, in the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands lies the Groenvlei Farm. Home to the exclusive winery of Peter Falke, the farm is coloured by magenta bougainvillea, delicate scented roses and wild lavender which grows alongside the carefully cultivated vineyards. The traditional gabled Cape Dutch buildings which date back to the 18th century mask the modern winery that lies within. A stately historical homestead, the boutique winery, a contemporary tasting room and luxurious outdoor lounge have all played part in establishing Peter Falke Wines as one of the top sundowner retreats in the Cape winelands. The winery concentrates on wine growing rather than wine making as Peters belief is that the quality of an exclusive wine is achieved from the quality of its grapes. These grapes are then hand selected in the vineyard and then transformed in the cellar, releasing their true inner character, by sensitively applying natural and minimalist processes.

The winery is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:00 - 19:00 for Sundowners and Cheese Platters and is only open on Mondays by appointment. Wine tasting can be arranged for groups of 15 or more by appointment only.
The winery is closed on Good Friday, Christmas and New Years Day.

Take the R44 from Stellenbosch
Drive for 4.5Km past Stellenbosch Square on your left
Turn left at Annandale Road. (The Zetlers Strawberry Farm is on the corner)
Drive for 1 km and turn left into the third green gate at Groenvlei Farm

From Cape Town:
Take the N2 to Somerset West
Take the R44 / Broadway Boulevard turnoff
Turn left onto the R44
Drive 9 km
Turn right into Annandale Road (Zetlers Strawberry Farm on the right)
Drive for 1 km and turn left into Peter Falke Wines (Groenvlei Farm)
