Noble Hill Wine Estate
Tucked between Kanonkop and Paarl Mountain, on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountains, Noble Hill Wine Estate is truly a Gem in the Western Cape. The estate produces single vineyard estate wines which beautifully reflect the soil, climate and geology of the Simonsberg area. In order to ensure a sustainable ecosystem that supports diverse flora and fauna, Noble Hill use beetles and ducks for pest control instead of chemicals, and nitrogen-enriching cover crops instead of fertilizer. The estate is surrounded by beautiful gardens which can be enjoyed by taking one of their picnic baskets. They offer a Garden Picnic Basket, or a Vineyard Picnic Basket and for kids there is a special kids meal which includes choice of a sandwich or hot dog, yogurt, chips, and juice. Apart from their superb wines, Noble Hill also produces Virgin Territory, cold-extracted extra-virgin olive oil which is harvested by hand at the estate and made from Frantoio, Kalamata, Manzanillo, and Mission olives. In their quest to be a green estate, Noble Hill have also made sure that all packaging for Virgin Territory has been designed to be completely re-usable.
Noble Hill also boasts a beautifull restaurant called Cosecha Restaurant, cosecha being the Spanish word for harvest. The restaurant is inspired by vibrant, farm-fresh latin flavours and ingredients are grown on the farm where possible. They currently maintain a thriving pepper and vegetable garden which you are free to explore during your visit.
Rated as the number 1 cellar in Paarl, Noble Hill is open every day from 10:00 to 17:00 and is only 20km from Franschhoek village and 45km from Cape Town. Make a stop at Noble Hill Wine Estate and see why visitors give this estate a 10 out of 10 score.
