We are proud to be Dullstroom’s Original Dog friendly destination!

Highland Giants Estate is situated about 30 km’s from the town of Dullstroom, Mpumalanga in the Steenkampsberg mountain range.

Our Self Catering cottages are perfectly private, with fantastic countryside views, each cottage has a fenced garden area for your peace of mind.

The perfect place to relax & unwind and reconnect with nature & yourself.

Accommodation

Our cottages are far apart and private, no need to have any contact with anyone else.

Each cottage offers a fully equipped self catering kitchen, has an indoor fireplace, braai facilities, a TV with satellite tv. Some have river views and some have dam and mountain views.

Bald Ibis Cottage – on the river, sleeps up to six people, cosy enough for 2

Guinea Fowl Cottage – on the river, sleeps up to six people, cosy enough for 2

Fish Eagle Cottage – near a dam, sleeps up to six people, cosy enough for 2

The Farmhouse – near a dam, sleeps up to six people, comfortable for 2

General Information:

Fly Fish, Hike, Stroll, Bird, Cycle; Swim; Bass Fish

Enjoy some Fly fishing or Bass Fishing, our take a swim in the river or a dam. Explore the farm, find old ruins, discover the secret waterfall. Certain parts of our farm are kept natural and wild, there are only game and cattle trails to follow ~ get out there and find yourself again in nature!

We have a wonderful variety of wildlife and birds.

We are a working cattle farm, our cows are very used to our canine guests, but it is best to be aware that there are animals on the property.

You can expect to drive from 4 to 5 km of dirt road to get to your cottage, it's a bumpy ride at times, but it's short and Oh! So worth it! Higher clearance vehicles are always preferable on gravel roads, however we are accessible to sedans and many residents drive 'normal' vehicles, low profile sedans are not recommended. Only after a heavy rain may the road be too muddy for a standard vehicle.
