The Old Vicarage Museum
The Old Vicarage Museum is situated in Fraserburg in the Northern Cape, South Africa. This building was built in 1856 to house the reverend of the town. Rev. Carl Arnoldus Bamberger lived in this house and at that time it was the only formal building in Fraserburg. It has a beautiful Cape Dutch Style appearance with white washed walls.
When you visit Fraserburg, be sure to visit the museum. You will notice that most of the interior is still the original and well maintained, although some had to be replaced due to old age.
It is an interesting visit and adds to Fraserburgs warm and welcoming historic feel.
